Myrto Aristidou is a Research Associate at the VSMSLab of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Athens School of Fine Arts, Greece (2009) and a Masters Degree on Heritage and Interpretation from the University of Leicester, UK (2013). Since 2009 she has worked continuously as a visual arts educator in art studios, organisations and museums. She has worked for a heritage advocacy and protection NGO, and  has collaborated with museums and art institutions as a researcher and educational program designer and facilitator. Her current research focuses on museum practices concerning the handling and preserving of works of art made and/or exhibited with the use of emerging technologies such as VR, Ar and MR.
